Practitioner

Grew up in an Asian culture but with a Master's Degree in the USA and completed her BSc (Hons) Degree in Acupuncture from the London College of Traditional Acupuncture. HW (Hsin-Wen) Chang is a licensed acupuncturist and registered member of the British Acupuncture Council practicing around Chelsea and Barnes.

 

Her interest in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) was inspired by seeing its effectiveness in helping her family and friends regain balanced health. After receiving her Acupuncture degree, she further extended her interest into Tuina Massage and learned from a Taiwanese Tuina master. HW (Hsin-Wen) believes in the power of integrated medical practice – the East meets the West. TCM Acupuncture and Tuina are not only useful in promoting self-healing but also in prevention. This integrated usage with patient’s existing western medicine treatments can better achieve a fuller desired health result.

 

Hsin-Wen treats all kinds of ailments and has special interest in pain relief and gynaecological / fertility related conditions.  She has recently become a practitioner of Foresight, the Association for the Promotion of Preconception Care (http://www.foresight-preconception.org.uk) . She will be able to provide information and pre-conception nutrition advice by working with Foresight's medical and alternative committe.

 

She is also the acupuncturist of Cancerkin team (http://www.cancerkin.org.uk/) at Royal Free Hospital providing acupuncture to help breast cancer patients alleviate side effects of chemotherapy / radiotherapy, and to help reduce stress & anxiety, and create a feeling of wellness.

 

HW (Hsin-Wen) is married and living in Barnes, London. Her other interests include classic piano playing, cooking and traveling.
